As the signature annual multi-arts festival of the Gold Coast, they shine a light on their unique creativity and culture by presenting the city in a new way, to new audiences, both locally and internationally as they build towards the 2018 Commonwealth Games and beyond.
The Gold Coast’s premier arts and cultural festival, Bleach* Festival, has unveiled its most ambitious program to date; an 18-day city-wide celebration spanning major musical concerts, large contemporary dance productions, giant outdoor spectacles, travelling shows on kayaks and even an epic beach sleepover.
2018 is a transformational year for Bleach* Festival, with the Gold Coast 2018 Commonwealth Games (GC2018) coming to our own backyard in April. Bleach* Festival will be collaborating with Festival 2018, the GC2018 arts and cultural program, to put our local artists on the world’s stage through a series of events under the banner of Bleach* at Festival 2018. It will be a spectacular showcase of what, and who, makes the Gold Coast such a special part of the world.
Utilising the Gold Coast’s world famous natural landscapes as unconventional venues, Bleach* Festival is a platform for expression, curated to encourage community ownership and participation, provide legacy building capacity and ultimately play a role amongst the world’s leading arts sector festivals.
