Be entertained, be creative and most of all, be afraid… very afraid!

Calling all frightening creatures of the night! Join this year’s spooktacular Halloween-inspired weekend event, Surfers Paradise Fest-Evil, filled with all things freaky and fun that is sure to give you goosebumps!

A FREE 3-day event like no other, experience the frightful fun of zombies, ghosts, vampire-themed acrobats, stilt walkers staggering through Surfers Paradise plus so much more. Surfers Paradise Fest-Evil will offer a friendly opportunity for families to see their children bring their wildest dreams to light by coming along in their most gruesome costume.

A graveyard full of FREE entertainment, hair-raising activities and in-venue events will take place from Thursday, 31 October to Saturday, 2 November. From makeup workshops, spontaneous ‘freak show’ acts, Cosplay and Costume Competitions, trick or treat offerings, games and a frightful array of 18+ Halloween parties across the precinct, including the afterdark offerings of Infectious Halloween. This safe and family-friendly event offers something for all ages.

The spookish fun begins on All Hallows’ eve, a night where the kids can learn the ghoulish ways of a zombie, bust a move to Thriller, play games and participate in the official Costume Character Competition at official Fest-Evil stage in Cavill Mall with over $2,000 worth of prizes up for grabs. The annual Cosplay Competition will take place on Friday, 1 November which will give all Marvel, Anime and DC Cosplayers the chance to win over $5,000 in prizes. So come if you dare in your favourite Halloween wear or Cosplay get-up!

Fest-Evil Trick or Treat

Spook-Taculuar Halloween Fun at the Paradise Centre. Bring in the kids to get their sweet fix in a family-friendly safe environment. FREE Face Painting, spooky character meet, greets & treats.

Face Painting: 31 October – 1 November 5pm – 7pm & 2 November 1pm – 4pm

Spooky Characters: 2 November, 1pm – 4pm

Surfers Paradise Zombie Walk

Featured within Fest-Evil is the Surfers Paradise Zombie Walk which attracted more than 1000 participants last year, showcases a parade of Zombie Walk enthusiasts. All zombie walkers will have a chance to be crowned King or Queen in the annual Costume Competition as well as dancing the night away in the Post Parade Street Party.
