Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary
Voted one of the Gold Coast’s most popular tourist destinations, Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary is the crown jewel of the National Trust of Australia (Queensland) properties, and is one of Queensland’s earliest nature-based tourist destinations.
Come face-to-face with extraordinary and exciting daily shows and hands-on wildlife encounters, with Blinky Bill in his new Blinky Bill’s Studio Adventure show, hundreds of native Australian animals on display in natural bushland and rainforest settings, and see the vets in action at the Currumbin Wildlife Hospital.
Nestled within 27 hectares of lush eucalyptus and rainforest, you can explore the exhibits, cuddle a koala, meet Blinky Bill, take a Segway Safari and get up close and personal with the kangaroos in the Roo Paddock! With information boards in abundance and local knowledge of our volunteers’ onsite, the park offers the perfect opportunity to connect with and be educated by active conservation efforts on a personal level.
The newest precinct, the amazing Lost Valley, is now opened to the general public and is an exciting addition to National Trust Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary allowing guests to explore a forgotten world and get up close and personal with some of the world’s most unique and distinctive flora and wildlife.
Take in the beauty of this 5-hectare lush tropical rainforest as you wind your way along elevated boardwalks, whilst taking you on a journey through the ancient supercontinent Gondwana. You will interact with exotic species never before seen on the Gold Coast, including friendly Ring Tail lemurs, Cotton-top tamarins, Red panda, Capybaras – and free-flying birds, exotic reptiles and so much more.
Whether you catch our miniature train, glide around the Sanctuary on a Segway bike or zip through the trees on our high ropes course, there is so much to see and do at Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary.
