SWELL Sculpture Festival

Experience the Gold Coast’s iconic SWELL Sculpture Festival as Currumbin Beach transforms into a spectacular open-air gallery.

Held over 10 days each September, SWELL brings together more than 100 large-scale sculptures by local, national and international artists, displayed along the beautiful coastline from Currumbin Beach to Flat Rock, Tugun.

Free to explore and open all hours, visitors can wander through the exhibition at their own pace, with selected sculptures lighting up after dark for a completely different experience. The festival also features artist talks, guided walks, workshops, live entertainment, family-friendly activities and the SWELL Smalls Gallery.

Beyond the main beachfront exhibition, SWELL also hosts pop-up exhibitions and creative experiences at locations across the Gold Coast.
