The Gold Coast Open returns to Burleigh Heads for five days of world-class surfing at one of Australia’s most iconic point breaks. This free, family-friendly event brings together elite professional and emerging surfers from around the globe, alongside a vibrant beachside festival atmosphere. Set against the stunning backdrop of Burleigh Hill, it’s the perfect excuse to spend a day by the ocean, whether you’re there for the surf or the vibes.

What to expect:

• Pro Surfing: The 2026 Gold Coast Open has been elevated to a WSL Qualifying Series 4000 rated event. Witness an unforgettable showcase of pro surfing at Burleigh Heads.
• Skating: Chiggy’s Skateboarding will join the action with fun beginner clinics and high-energy pro demos, giving new skaters a chance to learn the basics and watch the experts in full flight.
• Beach bar: Kick back with Travla and Hard Fizz at the beach bar, where live DJs set the mood as you take in the surfing action and keep the vibes flowing into the night.
• Yoga: Start your morning at Burleigh with sunrise yoga, and enjoy a range of wellness experiences throughout the event, including ice baths, breathwork sessions and pilates.
• Live music: Enjoy live music on Burleigh Hill, with the artist lineup to be revealed as the event draws closer. The tunes will roll into the night for the perfect end to each day.
