The Community Courses from Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary will run on various dates from early October to late November.
AUSSIE WILDLIFE COURSE
The Aussie Wildlife Course is an introductory course developed to train enthusiastic members of our community to provide emergency care for sick, injured or orphaned native wildlife.
ADVANCED AUSSIE WILDLIFE COURSE
Following on from the Aussie Wildlife Course comes the new Advanced Course, presented by Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary’s veterinarians and hospital staff. Using the Currumbin Wildlife Hospital facilities, the advanced course will explore the unique anatomy and physiology of Australia’s wildlife.
This course is designed specifically for the bird enthusiast or zoo professional who wishes to expand their knowledge in aviculture/avian husbandry, rehabilitation and hand rearing.
REPTILES & AMPHIBIANS
This course is designed for those with a keen interest in seeking knowledge and understanding in the areas of identification, legislation and relevant government interests, basic taxonomy, captive-husbandry needs and maintenance, health, nutrition and the reproduction of reptiles and amphibians.
