Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary goes prehistoric these School Holidays

Life-sized animatronic dinosaurs, a Jurassic-themed train ride and hundreds of dino-costumed kids descend on the Gold Coast these holidays.

Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary’s feathered and furry residents are making way for scales and spikey tails these school holidays, as ‘Dinomania’ officially launches on Saturday 27 June.

The larger-than-life prehistoric experience brings life-sized animatronic dinosaurs, roaming dino characters and an immersive conservation trail to one of Queensland’s most beloved family destinations.

Running throughout the school holidays, Dinomania is set to be the Gold Coast’s biggest family event of the season.

Guests can enjoy:

• A full life-sized animatronic dinosaur and walkabout dino characters roaming the Sanctuary grounds
• Currumbin’s iconic train, fully decked out in Dinomania theming for a Jurassic journey through the park
• Photogenic Jurassic-themed zones and interactive installations throughout the Sanctuary
• Hundreds of kids in dino costume (free ice cream on offer for those who dress up on Dino Days – each Saturday throughout the holidays)
• The Dinomania Explorer Trail, a family scavenger hunt connecting dinosaur footprints to real endangered Australian wildlife
• Dino-themed food and drinks, including Dino nuggets and Dino

Beyond the roars and stomping, Dinomania carries a meaningful conservation message. The Dinomania Explorer Trail uses the story of prehistoric extinction to shine a light on the endangered Australian species that call Currumbin home today, making wildlife conservation feel urgent, relevant and exciting for younger generations.
