Gold Coast Beach Parade is a world record attempt for the greatest number of people in koala ear visors in a beach parade.
It is a fun event for everyone and it celebrates the Gold Coast’s famous beach lifestyle, shining a spotlight on our safe, healthy holiday destination, highlighting great community spirit, while supporting a charity that’s close to our hearts – saving our endangered Koalas.
Gold Coast Beach parade is a 3 km walk along the beach at beautiful Burleigh Heads on September 25, 2022.
Participation cost to enter is a donation – $25 per individual, $80 for a family of 4 and $200 for a team or group of up to 10 people, and schools entries up to 200. The registration fee includes a special koala ear visor which needs to be worn by all participants in the parade walk. The registration fee goes directly to Currumbin Wildlife Hospital, the world’s busiest wildlife Hospital.
Participants will walk down the beach to North Burleigh SLSC turning at the check point, and return down along the beachfront to Burleigh again, and be counted as you enter the main stage area. The parade route is 3 km.
