Celebrate Koala Month at Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary this September and be a part of the mission to protect these iconic Australian marsupials. With a host of exciting activities, there’s something for everyone to enjoy while contributing to the conservation of our beloved Koalas.
Visitors can dive into the world of Koalas with the Koala Keeper Talks. Led by Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary’s expert Koala Keepers, these informative sessions provide an in-depth look at these fascinating creatures. Head to the Koala Habitat daily at 1pm to join in.
For families with young children, the Story Time sessions are a must-visit. Featuring “Have You Seen A Tree for Me?” written by Koala Specialist Sarah Eccleston, this enchanting experience takes place at the Koala Breakfast Seating Area at 9:30am daily.
For an unforgettable hands-on experience, don’t miss Krafting with Koalas. For just $20 per child, kids aged 3 and above can get up close to Koala Ambassadors, capture a Koala cuddle photo, and craft sustainable Koala art to take home. Sessions run daily at 10am in the Koala Habitat during the school holidays.
If you’re looking for a way to make a lasting impact, consider adopting a koala for $99 a year. Your symbolic adoption helps support the sanctuary’s ongoing conservation efforts, and you’ll receive a small koala plush, printed symbolic certificate, printed fact sheet, and quarterly updates about Koalas. Plus, it’s a tax-deductible donation!
Join Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary this September and be a champion for Koala conservation while enjoying a range of incredible experiences that bring you closer to these beloved creatures.
