On the National Day of Mourning, we encourage everyone to walk a portion of the Jubilee Walkway.
At twilight we will pay tribute to Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II with a live orchestra performance between 5pm and 6.30pm at Queen Elizabeth Park in Coolangatta.
Condolence books to honour the life of her Majesty The Queen will be available to sign, which will be sent to Buckingham Palace and archived by the Commonwealth.
Floral tributes are welcomed at any of the Jubilee Walkway signs or in Queen Elizabeth Park on this day. We ask that all wrapping is removed from the tributes, so they are compostable.
The Royal Family have noted that instead of leaving floral tributes, Australians may wish to consider making a donation to a charity of their choice.
Take a bus to McLean Street or make your journey active and walk, ride, scoot or skate to Queen Elizabeth Park, Coolangatta. There is limited street parking available at Chalk and Lanham Street Carpark, Marine Parade, Griffith Street and The Strand Coolangatta.
