Summer Days On The Water at Sanctuary Cove THIS JAN

Summer Days On The Water at Sanctuary Cove

Summer has officially launched at Sanctuary Cove, including a schedule of on-water activities to delight and entice visitors.

Launching at Sanctuary Cove from the 1st of January are GoBoat electric picnic boats, established in Copenhagen, and now operating in Melbourne and Canberra, these sustainable, electric picnic boats allow you to explore the Gold Coast waterways in Scandinavian style.

Gather your friends, pack a picnic with supplies from The Marine Village cafes and restaurants, and head out for a relaxing boat ride along the Coomera River and Hope Island canals. Drop the anchor, or cruise all the way around to Paradise Point – the choice is yours. Opt for one, two or three-hour hire where all there is to do is relax and enjoy good food and great company on the water. No boat licence required!

Looking for an island escape? Then the brand-new ferry service to Tipplers will be right up your alley. Departing daily on weekdays, this short journey departing from the Sanctuary Cove Marina docks will whisk you on a short 40-minute journey through the Gold Coast waterways, the wind in your hair and fresh salty air, to the banks of South Stradbroke Island, one of the Gold Coast’s most iconic gems.

Spend the day exploring a 22km stretch of stunning white sand on this beautiful family-friendly oasis tucked away behind a sea of palm trees. Arriving back just in time for dinner when hunger strikes, you’ll be spoilt for choice with an array of Marine Village cafes and restaurants which serve up delectable delights to everyday favorites.

If being chauffeured along the river in a leisurely cruise is more your desire, then you’re in luck with Margarita Cruises. Sit back and relax with a one-hour cruise or gather a group of friends and book a private charter for the perfect summer jaunt. All tours are served with light refreshments, allowing you to kick back, relax and take in the scenery of Sanctuary Cove and surrounds.

Boating and the Gold Coast go hand in hand, and there are few destinations that allow you to shop, dine and relish in on-water activities like Sanctuary Cove. As an iconic destination, Sanctuary Cove and The Marine Village set the scene for boaty heaven and is your one stop shop this Summer for fun and relaxation.
