Carrara Markets has now reopened!
Carrara Markets is the biggest permanent weekend marketplace in Queensland. Centrally located at Carrara on the beautiful Gold Coast, only a stone’s throw from Surfers Paradise and Broadbeach.
With over 350 stalls covering 10 acres, it’s a treasure trove of the curious and the unusual. It’s also the original home of discount shopping when it comes to fresh produce, homewares, pots, plants, bric a brac, arts and crafts and just about everything else.
For over 30 years Carrara Markets has been a major Gold Coast tourist destination.
Carrara Markets is a popular family day out with buskers, pony rides, animal farm, bungy trampolines and face painters.
Take a stroll through the quaint walk-in Butterfly House presented by Gold Coast Butterflies. Observe one of nature’s most enchanting creatures up close and in abundance. Experience the beautiful Australian butterflies set amongst a lush garden setting.
Meet owners Bruno & Josephine who love nothing more than to provide you with an interesting insight on the Butterfly world including their life cycle and its importance in our ecosystem.
Photo opportunities are welcome with these colourful and delicate creatures. Plus you can have a fluttery experience by feeding nectar to the butterflies. Such a delight for all ages.
The Butterfly House opens every Thursday, Friday, Saturday & Sunday from 9am to 3pm.
The Hungry Hub & Bevy Bar is the coolest new place to eat and drink on the coast and it just opened in the middle of Carrara Markets! Visit The Hungry Hub & Bevy Bar to enjoy a bite, a drink, live music & the outdoor vibe of the markets!
The Hungry Hub & Bevy Bar has a shabby chic vibe that fits perfectly with laid-back eating and drinking. But this place doesn’t just look the part it also delivers on the food quality! The open grass areas are great for kids or for lounging about with a beer listening to the live musicians who play each day.
The Hungry Hub & Bevy Bar opens Saturdays and Sundays for (all day) breakfast, lunch and afternoon drinks and tapas 7.30am to 4pm.
